Full CIA Torture Report Not Yet Released

The full CIA Torture report has not been released, although the investigation began in 2009. Beginning in 2001, the CIA began gathering suspected terrorists around the world in detention centers. The torture of suspected terrorists in these detention centers was justified through rewritten legal limitations, and a CIA official destroyed video evidence of the torture.

In 2009, investigation into the torture began, but during the investigation 870 documents disappeared from Senate computers in February, with another 50 disappearing in May. The CIA was also accused of searching the Senate computers. The torture report concluded with the verdict that the CIA misled Congress about the torture program, but the report has since been keyed out and has never been released.
