Jenean Stone (1931-2014)

Jenean Marie Sias Fulton Enz Stone, 82, of Black Mountain, North Carolina, passed away on September 3, 2014. She was born in Jewell County, Kansas, the daughter of Reverend Dr. G Gerald Sias and Volita Mae Low Sias. 

Jenean was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Jeri, and her brother, Roland. She is survived by her husband, long-time peace and justice advocate Pablo Stone, and her children, Cynthia Trowbridge (Timothy) of Elbert, CO, David Fulton (Joyce) of Park City, KY, and Shari Wilson (Arthur Gutierrez) of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren, William and Phillip Fulton, Bradley and Ryan Wilson, and Ariel and Michelle Gutierrez; sister, Sherma Wright of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law, Hayley Sias; and nieces, Jeri Sias of El Paso, TX, and Meri Sias of St. Simons Island, GA.

She graduated from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, in 1953 and served as the director of Christian education in Arkansas City, Kansas, and Covington, Kentucky. She did postgraduate work at Lexington Theological Seminary and married John Fulton, a graphic artist and photographer in Indiana and Illinois, in 1956. Jenean was a professional photographer and a member of the Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League. She was a founding member of the Sourwood Gallery Co-Op. 

Her memorial service and celebration of life will be held September 20, 2014, at 2:00pm at the First Christian Church of Black Mountain, 201 Blue Ridge Road, Black Mountain, NC.
