PLEASE HELP YOUNG ADULTS come to Ecumenical Advocacy Days!

ECUMENICAL ADVOCACY DAYS is almost here. On April 15 – 18, 2016, nearly a thousand Christians from all across the nation will gather in DC and northern Virginia to worship together, network with each other, learn more about important public policy issues, share information about local and state organizing, and, of course, advocate to their elected officials.

Among those attending this important annual conference will be young adults--future leaders in important movements for justice, peace, inclusion, ancare for God's creation.

For many young adults, this is an important and formative event in their lives. Below is a sampling of the testimonies of young adults who have attended past conferences:

“Ecumenical Advocacy Days was immeasurably life changing for me. After participating in this conference, I prayed that God would continually break my heart at the needless suffering of others so that I may be moved to compassion and fight the good fight of faith to transform unjust systems around the world.”

“Ecumenical Advocacy Days was an exceptional gathering that will impact my ministry for a lifetime. As a result of this experience, I plan to get involved f in local advocacy campaigns with my state and national government officials to create policies that promote justice for all peoples of the world.”

“Seeing so many active and passionate brothers and sisters pushing for the realization of a fairer world on this side of heaven strengthened my resolve to struggle for greater justice wherever I can. It was a great experience.”

“It was great to have something to take back to our local faith community. These issues will be great to bring up in our mission work, especially how we can take small steps to support justice in our daily decisions and practices.”
