Photo Story: Disciples Rally for Family Justice

Nearly one hundred Disciples marched to the Indiana State House this afternoon to support a variety of justice causes. Speakers included Rev. Dr. William Barber of North Carolina, pictured above. While there were a variety of signs held and chants cheered, family is what brought everyone's passions together, said Rev. Kate Epperly, one of the event's founders. What connects these justice issues is their impact on families. The "Disciples Rally 4 Family Justice" was co-sponsored by: Disciples Home Missions, Disciples Family & Children's Ministries, Disciples Refugee and Immigration Ministries, Yakama Christian Mission, National Benevolent Association, God Before Guns, Disciples Women, Disciples Justice Action Network, Disciples LGBTQ+ Alliance, Disciples Green Chalice, Central Pastoral Office for Hispanic Ministries, Disciples Peace Fellowship, and North American Pacific/Asian Disciples.
