Photo Story: Interfaith Leaders Rally for Health Care

Interfaith leaders marched to the U.S. Senate to be a witness for millions of Americans on the verge of losing their health care. Eleven courageous faith leaders—including Disciples justice activist, William Barber III—were arrested for acts of nonviolent civil disobedience protesting Senator McConnell’s new health care bill—a bill that is as dangerous and immoral as its predecessors. This sinful bill would cut Medicaid to the bone and prey upon millions of our most vulnerable brothers and sisters: children, seniors in nursing homes, people with disabilities and low-income families including veterans. Our leaders face a moral test with life and death consequences. Together we can send a powerful message that no one should be denied health care.
